Austin, TX – You can talk about your issues for years, but if there are trapped emotions, whether from childhood or something more recent, regular talk therapy won’t necessarily resolve the underlying issues that are creating current problems. It’s the responsibility of a counselor to investigate other ways to connect with their clients and work together to empower them to negotiate their emotional hurdles.

Jean Bringol is a licensed professional counselor who has been trained in a number of modalities that help clear negative emotions so people can heal more quickly.

“My desire is to help people move toward a stronger sense of balance and grounding in their lives,” says Jean. “The heartbeat of my counseling practice is to bring hope to those who have lost hope and encourage those who are discouraged.”

Jean began counseling in 1988 using her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but found CBT doesn’t always work if a person has deep emotional blocks that leave them “stuck.” That’s why in addition to talk therapy, Jean offers a number of modalities that address the imbalances that have occurred in the body’s energy system, including Emotional Freedom Technique (also known as EFT or Tapping), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR, The Emotion Code, The Healing Codes as well as Low Level Laser Therapy.

Jean says her counseling is always grounded in her deep faith in God.

“My whole perspective is that all truth is God’s truth”, says Jean. “I believe God is our creator and designed our bodies to be whole, healthy and balanced. When we can accept that and start seeking His perspective, then we’re starting the healing journey on a strong foundation.
